Credit Analyst

On this position you will be responsible for:

• evaluating credit risk, making recommendations on and/or setting temporary credit limits on new accounts and following an established procedure on collections. 

• maintaining a smooth functioning credit portfolio -supplying responsive, process-effective services to internal and external customers. 

• working closely with site sales, marketing organizations and Corporate Treasury to structure financing alternatives for customers requiring special financing. 

• ensuring past due and collection metrics are achieved on a portfolio of accounts. 

 Activities include: 

• establishing and maintaining contact with customers concerning past due invoices, payment trends, resolution of disputed invoices, and other matters related to past due receivables. 

• Participating as a member of various customer account teams. 

• Interfacing with a variety of functional areas at various business sites related to customer disputes, invoice copies, proof of delivery, contract/PO issues, etc. 

 • Conducting business in a manner that promotes both internal and external customer satisfaction. 

Qualifications/Education:

 • High School education in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field. 

 • Directly related experience in Sales or Customer Service 

 • Good knowledge of accounting principles, credit and collection policies and procedures, or credit risk is an advantage. 

• Excellent English 

 • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, and financial analysis skills. 

 • Goal oriented, motivated self-starter, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. 

 • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently, and ethically with both internal and external customers required. 

 • Strong PC skills including MS Excel, experience with other Microsoft Office products: Word, Outlook, etc.

During this internship, you will support the worldwide Strategic Planning Process of Division Automotive and further develop our market intelligence system.

The main focus will be:
· Supporting the Strategic Planning Process by collecting and analyzing data from our sales organization worldwide
· Extending Competitor Intelligence through external and internal sources
· Collecting data for market evaluation of our automotive products worldwide

We expect you to study business administration (at least in the 3rd year) with a major in Marketing or Strategy. In order to be successful you must bring strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as excellent communication skills and be an experienced user of Microsoft Excel and Access. Fluent English (speaking and writing) is a prerequisite in our international team, additional languages (French, German or Portuguese) are beneficial

Key Accountabilities 

Posting of the incoming payments 

Booking of the incoming remittance advices and cheques and their matching with the open items 

Reconciliation of the customers accounts 

Bank transfer to the customer and direct debiting 

Matching of the unapplied cash 

Solve customer complaints 

We Require

Finance related education or experience 

Basic to advanced knowledge of accounting 

Strong communication skills 

Good analytical and problem solving skills 

PC Skills (SAP, very advantageous) 

Fluent French and English in speaking, reading and writing 

Experience of working in a shared service centre environment an advantage
