Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the HR Manager and the Marketing department prepare all marketing material including updating the website for the Graduate Recruitment and Summer Internship programmes.
- Manage the administration of all application forms received and prepare all acknowledgements and correspondence to applicants.
- Co-ordinate and participate in university milk rounds.
- Prepare interview schedule.
- Organise relevant social events for both the summer internship programme and annual trainee solicitor recruitment.
- Co-ordination of all starter and leaver administration.
- Set up personnel files for all new starters and ensure all relevant information is obtained.
- Add new starter to firm documentation e.g. organisational charts, headcount report, and ratio document.
- Monitor and manage relocation costs for new hires

- Completion and distribution of appraisal pack to fee earners and trainee solicitors for probation, annual reviews and end of rotation assessments.
- Monthly appraisal report and resumes of appraisals.
- Preparation of salary review and bonus spreadsheets for HR department.
- Maintaining HR statistics reports including absenteeism analysis, turnover report, department structures and headcount.
- General HR Administration
- Secretarial support to HR Director and HR Manager.
Requirements:
- Ideally 1-2 years experience in a HR function within a busy, team based, environment
- Excellent analytical and administration skills are essential with a high focus on accuracy and quality.
- Excellent PC skills - This will include a high proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization
- Proven track record of excellent service to internal and external customers
- Highly organized with a strong ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Essential to have a very flexible approach to work and be confident working in a fast moving environment
- Ability to manage change effectively and be very proactive
